You’re my recharging battery!
Dear Lenka,
as soon as I discovered your cookbooks, I was immediately hooked. I am eager to try all recipes and I want to cook them all. As we don’t have a television, I became aware of the cookbooks at my sister-in-law’s. I begged her to let me borrow them and now I don’t read anything else. With my eldest daughter Ema (2.5 years), we browse through the pictures, rave about them, and we talk about what all we’ll devour. I love healthy treats and since my husband indulges more in meat, I jam it for him at least into vegetables (baked aubergine or zucchini). But my inspiration was running out. And you are my recharging battery! You’re great! I wish I could have all your cookbooks but for now I have to stay with borrowing (our budget is calculated only for necessities and there is nothing left for my passions :( Veronika
Sisterly dinner parties
I fell in love with your cookbooks so now I have to have more :-) My friends have also already bought them and after one family sisterly dinner party at out house, where we served delicacies based on your super recipes, my sisters also bought them :-) On Sunday we’re having a "liquid pleasures party" at one of their places :-) Simply put, I think the world of your cookbooks! Home cooking has become a joy
Dear Lenka! I would like to join the bandwagon of all those who root for you and who admire you! Last week I bought your new salad volume and we’ve already tried 5 salads at home and we were really licking our lips :) I admire your ideas and combinations; you’re simply great, exceptional, and very inspirational :) Thanks to you, also our home cooking has expanded into new dimensions, and it has become a joy and another hobby. We enjoy it much more and we also spend a lot more time together during family cooking and contemplation over what we’ll concoct next.
At the beginning I hesitated with the purchase of your cookbooks due to their relatively high price, but now I always can’t wait for the next volume and I look forward to when it FINALLY comes out :) I also just wanted to say “Hi” and to wish you a lot of appetite and zest for your continued work and I am already looking forward to bananas! P.S. I would be very interested in finding out how you would tackle my favorite vegetable – red beet. Maybe I’ll get to see it one day :)
Aubergine party
Hello Lenka, the cookbooks just arrived in good shape and I can’t wait until my daughter goes to sleep and I go to cook :-)
The weekend was one big aubergine party, and, wonders never cease, my husband, whose relationship to aubergine probably couldn’t take much of a rank with that of your Michal, ate heartily and praised loudly!! The nipper will have good eye sight
Your “carrot” recipes were sheer delight. My 2.5 year old son stopped eating carrots about a year ago, which brought me a bit of despair. This week I tried 2 of your recipes and he devoured almost everything = an unexpected success! Thanks to you our nipper will have good eye sight :-)). Dana

I praise your cookbooks and recommend them everywhere I go; everything is so simple and tastes so good. My husband is grunting with pleasure and he says that I always knew how to cook but that he likes this much more. I was rolling around with laughter while reading
Yesterday, the "Liquid pleasures" volume arrived at our house and once again I was astonished at what is possible to invent. You’re my favorite because in my kitchen it is quick and simple meals made of home-made ingredients that win, but I also like to indulge in new or exotic ingredients. I was not familiar with your books beforehand, but they captured my interest with how they’re different, e.g., colorful cover, format, stories that entertain, so I read a few pages. It’s never happened to me that I would literally start rolling around with laughter while reading a cookbook, so for that I would like to thank you. Keep it up. Lenka Paterová
I unwrapped them at the post office
Dear Lenka, the shipment containing your cookbooks arrived today and… I unwrapped them right at the post office, bought some ingredients on the way home, and I immediately tried out two recipes. I am thrilled! I want to go and cook everything right now.
I am on maternity leave so I appreciate the speed of the recipes, which is not at all at the expense of good tasting meals. On the contrary, it looks like I’ve been cooking all day :-) The availability of the ingredients (well, just the coconut milk was not available at the shop :-) and the fact that you only need a few of them – up until now many recipes had discouraged me due to the large number of ingredients or their unavailability. I really savored the dishes, the recipes are original, interesting, and full of flavors! I am really thrilled! I would also certainly welcome other vegetable themes – cauliflower, broccoli, potatoes, zucchini, etc. I really enjoy vegetables but I was never able to prepare it this well. Am keeping my fingers crossed for you hoping everything goes well for you and keep it up!
P.S. I saw your recipes and books for the first time on TV. I tried one recipe and I instantly had to order the books :-)
I’ve become totally addicted
Hello, I read about your first cookbook in Apetit magazine and I’ve become totally addicted :-)) I can’t wait until the next volume comes out and I get to try out those amazing recipes. It smells great just by looking at it
Good evening Lenka, I finally have 5 of your cookbooks and in time others will follow. They’re really great, both the pictures and the recipes and stories. I now cook exclusively based on them. True, I do occasionally have to leave out an ingredient, or substitute it with another one, since we have little children, but otherwise I leave everything as is. it’s no use writing about your cookbooks and recipes. Everything has already been said in the reviews or opinions on your site. My family is suspicious that I’ve fallen platonically in love with you because I am always telling them about what I cooked based on your recipes. They’ve even forced me to add the words “my love” after your name. For example: “Today I cooked (name of recipe) based on Lenka Požárová, my love."But when I invite them or my friends for something, they instantly fall silent.Keep on writing and do not lose your inspiration and courage, I can’t wait for my favorite aubergine. You deserve honey around your mouth
Good day (well, evening), I am sending my greetings directly from the Jizera mountains. The children are asleep, my husband is away on travels, and I am going through your cookbooks, which I received today via C.O.D. (thank you). I am trying to figure out what it is about your cookbooks that captured my interest, as I haven’t even tried out one recipe… Certainly the graphical lay-out, witty commentary, but most of all the enthusiasm radiating from them. As my husband would say: “And that’s what it’s all about”.
My first meeting with you was during the "Sama doma" TV show, afterwards I went through your web site (lively, witty, clear) and now I am looking forward to testing out the plum delicacies (my back is still sore from gathering them).
As far as your questions are concerned, so far nothing comes to my mind regarding what could be done better. I’ll present the subject during the female sessions and I’ll be sure to let you know. But I think that you’re doing a great job and that you deserve honey around your mouth (how about a HONEY-themed volume?)

I have to have it
First impression – hmm, the cookbook does look enticing, but the price.. second impression – well, those recipes look good… third impression – I have to have it, otherwise I won’t survive without it...
It’s pretty obvious to me that such a nice book, where one can almost feel just from the photos how good those delicacies smell, must cost something. So I am giving up a corresponding amount of chocolate so that I can have each new volume;-))) Diana
